Partner is determined to be an Archer. Interested what people would suggest as a duo partner?

I'm open to trying a lot of different classes, and don't have a predetermined "main" entering beta.

My wife is determined to play Archer, which is cool!

I played paladin with her in the last playtest and it felt like a pretty cool, synergistic duo. So I am leaning towards that.

But figured it'd be a fun topic of discussion to see what other, more experienced players might suggest as an optimal duo-partner for an Archer.
