A Cautionary Tale: Reading

I've waited until 1,000 hours to read. Over the past two days, I've read over 40,000 words:

Hola Lola by Juan (has fun moments, but long and boring)

El Asedio Del Supermercado by Ana Martin (this is my favourite book so far and I'd give it a 10/10. The story is very engaging and the flow of the book, at an A2 level, is spectacular)

Sofia la Hipocondriaca by Ana Martin (another good read, however not as good at the one above)

La Otra Mujer by Ana Martin (another good one)

Alicia en el pais de las maravillas A1 (OKish)

& a few other short reads

At this moment in time, I feel burnt out. It's only been two days, yet I need a break. There's only so much "she said this, he did that, I drink this, you drink that, he went there, she went here, they did this, you did that" that you can read before inevitably burning out.

I'm glad I got 40,000 words in as quick as I did, with the motivation I had. Now, I can rest for a few days and attack some harder content. If I only read 5,000 words a day and took over a week to read through these mostly boring books, I don't think I'd be able to. You become numb to them very, very fast.
