Respectfully, How Many Episodes Until the Show Gets "Good"?

I watched Season 1, Episode 1 a couple years ago and it didn't capture me. I just went back and watched Season 1, Episodes 1, 2, and 3 because of how much I'm hearing about the show and it's finale, but like...when does it get good? It seems that a lot of watchers have struggled with the first couple episodes and/or season, so I'm just curious when that might happen and if I should stick it out for another couple episodes? Or just accept that this show isn't for me.

For what it could be worth, I never liked Secret Life of the American Teenager because I did not care for the characters at all (mostly Amy), and I get similar vibes from Lucy's character. Thought I'd mention that in case anyone was like "I so relate, I also didn't like Secret Life, but Tell Me Lies gets good".
