My idea of a wild Friday night has evolved over time and I can tell you this is better.

Before now, I always felt this weird pressure to be out on Friday nights, it almost felt like I was wasting my youth if I wasn't in a crowded room losing my voice over loud music. But lately, I’ve fully embraced the silence that comes with just being by myself. It’s always a very refreshing feeling, knowing that for the next 48hrs, I don’t have to talk to anybody but my cat. I came back a little late from work, my cat was already asleep and I just decided to lay on the couch for a bit. It wasn’t quite long when I found myself in a deep search on the Alibaba site at about 11:00pm. I wasn't looking for anything, I was just passing time, adding to my cast and comparing prices for medical-grade disinfectant spray and micro-fiber cloths. I had this sudden, intense urge to make my apartment a sterile sanctuary where the outside world couldn't reach me. I know it may sound boring or even weird to some people, but honestly, just scrubbing my kitchen counters in total silence felt more rejuvenating than any club night experience ever did. It’s funny how being an introvert makes you find genuine joy in the most mundane tasks. Does anyone else get that weirdly satisfying rush from just cleaning your space and knowing you don't have to leave the house all weekend?
