Can the x-e5 or x-t30iii film sim dial be used for more than 3 recipes?

Help

long time x100v shooter here. upgrade to the x100vi was just not worth it for me. but I can't stop thinking about the x-e5 and I'm wondering:

The dial features all major film sims and 3 custom slots (FS1, 2 and 3) – I assume those custom slots can be mapped to recall custom settings, but what about the other positions? How do they play with custom settings? Lets say I have custom setting 3 selected an switch the dial from fs1 to the Acros position, will that leave all my custom settings from fs1 in place and just change the sim to acros? Or can I set custom settings for the acros position itself? Ideally even make the Acros position set a different film sim than acros, effectively making it FS4 if you will.

Another question I have is how the x-e5 handles custom settings in general. It frustrates the hell out of me that my girlfriends x-t5 bakes stuff like Focus Mode into a custom setting, which heavily discourages switching between recipes. I hope the x-e5 does it like my x100v does, where only jpeg relevant settings are saved in custom settings. But ideally... one would be able to select what gets saved and what does not.

Thanks!
