How to take a picture of a moth that is so almost the size of my pinki and won't let me get near?

General Question

Every once a while I will spot a cream yellowish color moth that is almost the size of my pinki in one of the flower beds at my local park. But evertime I stop to grab my phone, crouch down, get as much close to it as I can, or get in its vision, it flew off and hides under foliage were it disappears and I can't find it again. Is there a way to get a picture of them without them flying away and disapear in the foliage? Zooming the camera on my phone to maximum is out of the question since it makes everything blurry and makes my camera unable to focus.
