Potentially Fake job posting?
Hello everyone, I’ve been applying to tons of help desk and other IT positions and recently went through the interview process and was selected by a company for a remote tier 1 help desk position.
I want to be stoked about finding a job but my spidey senses are tingling. Here’s some info about the job:
-full time
-remote
-based in CA
-pay is $45/hr (little high; right??)
-company is small >50 people
-I found them on linked in and messaged their recruiter there as well, just to see what happens.
My red flags:
-the pay is reallllly high for remote work, granted they are based in California and I do have a lot of qualifications.
-I never did a verbal interview. I had to do an extensive technical questionnaire asking a BUNCH of good technical questions. About 3 days after I completed my screening questionnaire, they reached back out saying I got the job.
-they’ll pay weekly. They’ll pay in check, wire transfer or direct deposit.
-they’ll send me a check to get my home office set up with monitors and such.
Company name is Helpt. If anyone has insight or any wisdom to share here, let me know. I’m waiting on the official offer letter which should give me more insight.
