I (27F) love my fiance (28M) so much but ever since getting engaged I feel dread about the idea of marrying into his family and having to put up with them for the rest of my life. Is now the smart time to leave?

It's a shame that this is how our engagement has gone because before we were engaged I could fully focus on how much I loved him and so all the rubbish I went through with his family was just an unfortunate downside to it. Long story short his parents don't support our relationship because we are two different races (in 2026 I know). But now that we're actually looking at marriage I feel sick about the idea of being legally binded to them and having to feel the constant pain and rejection they have shown me since the beginning of our relationship. He's always stuck up for me and been nothing short of perfect and caring in this difficult situation and at the time my love for him was enough to put up with the rubbish from his family. But now all I can see is all the pain it has caused me, I've lost my self of sense worth and I'm not excited about the future at all, which is a shame because I was that little girl who dreamt of the "perfect" marriage and a wedding her whole life.
