30%-80% after years of claims denied. What next?

VA Disability Claims :claim:

I had done three mental health assessments over the course of two years, where the assessors confirmed my issues, followed by VA denying the claim. Finally I got a very professional assessor that was not only able to get it done but was confused why it was denied with such a clear case.

I've learned from this group not to tell anyone about my rating, and wow is it hard to resist doing so. Just wanted to say thank you to the group for encouragement over the years to persist. I feel so much relief and support. Also, great to get acknowledgement that the things I dealt with WERE actually very harmful. I feel such gratitude for the help, I'm tempted to send a gift or something to the people who helped with my claim, the people who wrote letters on my behalf etc, but this mighy be inappropriate, yes?

I also have a big question about where to go from here. I got 70% for mental health on top of my old 30% for other pain, so total is 80%. The thing is, my largest injury is still denied. I have spinal damage that causes limited neck ROM, pain, and nerve damage. I have MRIs and doctor confirming the damage in nexus letter using VAs special verbiage. I have buddy letters confirming the event. I have complaints of neck pain in my VA checkups. But I dont have anything from this event in my medical service record. This should be an easy claim to get service connected. And I'm worried it will get severe as I age and treatment will not be covered if it's not service connected.

I want to push for it, but now that I have 80%, I'm not sure if it's worth it. Will this even get me to 100%? Will they try to reduce my other claims if I only pursue the spinal damage claim going forward?
