Mad Monkey Hostel in Vietnam changed my mind about hostels

Not gonna lie, I almost gave up on hostels after my stay in Hong Kong. It was tiny, kinda uncomfortable, and the vibe just felt off. No one talking, everyone doing their own thing, and I didn’t sleep properly at all. I left thinking okay maybe I’m too old for this or hostels just not my thing. Then I stayed at Mad Monkey Hostel in Vietnam and it surprised me in a good way. People were actually social, conversations just happened naturally, and it didn’t feel forced or awkward. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere just felt lighter and more fun. Made me realize it’s not hostels I disliked, just that one experience.
