Playing Nightreign Offline

I would like to ask, currently how good is offline version of Nightreign? From what I know, it is supposed to be primarily online game, however it also has offline mode. I loved original Elden Ring and DLC so I was thinking about getting Nightreign, however, I am not planning of ever playing it online. I have seen multiple different opinions. Some say it is borderline impossible, others, that offline mode is better than online mode. I guess it could have been influenced by later updates. So, I would like to ask what is the situation now?

More specifically, I mean seekers edition.
