embedded piercing

Hi everyone. I got my ear pierced on Feb 13, and about 5 days ago I changed the earring. After that it became swollen, and the next day the stud looked like it got embedded in my ear. Right now it doesn’t really hurt because I’ve been cleaning it with saline and doing warm compresses. Is there a chance the earring will come back out on its own, or should I see a doctor?
