Would you watch a new take on "Shaft", and/or maybe if it starred Caleb McLaughlin?
I'm thinking post-George Floyd, post-BLM, yet still "a streetwise New York City private detective who is as tough with criminals as he is tender with his lovers," as the 1971 description read. I started thinking about it when Caleb McLaughlin said that he sees Lucas Sinclair having a career in either military or law enforcement but being anti-establishment. And also the actor who played Lucas' dad on Stranger Things had a SLIGHT Shaft resemblance.
Would you watch it? Should Shaft die with the Samuel L. Jackson movies and never be heard from again on TV?
