7 days old stitches inflammation

34 y.o F 50kg 1.60cm height living in the UK I had a mole removed 7 days ago and I am not sure if the stitches are healing ok or they are infected . They are self dissolvable , but still in place. I keep them clean and add vaseline on the wound so they don't dry up, at doctor's recommendation There is redness around them and they are quite painful,no discharge, is it part of the normal healing?
