First off I would like to state that groups isn't bad by any means I just think there are better formats. I get that it's supposed to be cutthroat and it's supposed to mix things up. I do prefer Swiss.

1.Swiss gives you more matches with similar strength. Not just with the top teams but the bottom teams too. No one wants to go 0-3, Being down 0-2 in Swiss will bring out the competitiveness of these 4 teams to get the win over the other team and thus gaining them more experience on LAN. SSA was 0-2 this Major and their last match was NRG the World champions. 99.9% of the time they would never win that. I still don't know who is better APAC or SSA.

2.Swiss helps find the "true" top 8 team. which is crucial at the beginning of the season when every team blows up due to rostermania at the end of the year. At least the first Major should be Swiss to find out the correct seeding for Major 2 and the World Championship.

3.Every game matters. Going 3-2 or 3-1 decides who you play against. In groups TM vs SSG didn't matter they were both eliminated. besides I think 2 RLCS point and prize money winning held no actual weight. Correct me if I'm wrong but once Falcons beat GK 3-1 the groups were decided already, while VP and Furia was 2-2 in OT to me it felt like it didn't matter because both groups were out.

4."Groups has less same region matches" it's true, but Swiss has more cross region matches. This season of RLCS there are more great teams than ever before and I want to see them play as many games as they can. Personally I would have loved to see Twisted Minds, MIBR and VP play a couple more series to see how they go up against more teams.

In MY opinion I would ideally like Swiss in Major 1 to find out as close as to the correct seeding.

Swiss or Groups double elimination like in 2025 Worlds for Major 2 would be better than current groups format.

Keep Worlds the same as last year to keep it cutthroat.

If Blast had to shorten the tournament due to budget reasons then I can understand that and groups is understandable.

Thank you for my scuffed post let me know what you guys think.
