Considering returning for Anniversary TBC, question about boosted gear

Hey all. Been away from the game since the first classic TBC servers and have a group of friends getting into it again. If I play, I'm planning on trying the only role I haven't experienced much (tank) and will certainly be boosting.

My question is, can I do Ramps in boosted gear? I love dungeons and will likely do 99% of leveling purely dungeon grinding.
