I said last time that I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this faction, I \*think\* I've figured it out somewhat, though its going to be interesting since I'm going to have to use cards that are technically not Manaddium cards down the line to make sure there's an appropriate amount of cards in the faction.

At the very least I've got a decent start for these ones and (hopefully) the next couple of posts. (Also; evidentally the tribe for this faction is "Totems". Which is going to be strange since a) this is not the faction that has Shamans and 2) That means tomorrow I'm going to be posting a card labeled "Totem" that is clearly just a man in a suit. I did strongly consider Elemental as an option, but Shangri-Ira already got that on the Ratha cards, and I like the idea of the Mindas being the ones that are untouched buy that faction. So it's not great, but... what else could I possibly give them? Draenai?!?)

* "Simple Memories", based on [Mannadium Imaginings](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Mannadium_Imaginings)

This one was kind of interesting based on the fact that the second effect on the original card allows you to make something into a "Tuner". (Well, specifically it makes Visas or Riumheart into Tuners, but lets ignore that for now). When I did the "Atman" card yesterday, I made him synergise with 2-Cost minions, and the other 2 Cost minons here are all Tuners in the base game. So for these purposes: 2-Cost minion = Tuner I suppose.

Like I said, the irony is that the initial card makes Riumeart or Visas into Tuner, but for this one, I made is specifically so that it cannot hit them. While I could say there was a balancing reason fo that, the real reason I chose to do it that way was gameplay. The Atman from yesterday... already Costs 0 if you control 2 of these cards: What pray tell would be the point in trying to make him cheaper? (And while I haven't figured out the Ultimate version quite yet, there's a 99% chance it's also going to be based on Levels and level differences, so again, making him cheaper is going to basically be useless.)

Gonna talk about these together because even in YGO, they're all basically slight variants of the same effect "When they get destroyed, loop another one of themselves from the deck."

In Yu-Gi-Oh, the idea is to use these effects to have essentially free targets for certain cards that want to destroy other things, but here, I've decided to make it into the archetype just being very, very sticky on board, though not really all that hard hitting. (I'm going to imagine these cards exist in a world where Crusaders Aura is nerfed into oblivion! My only reprive is the fact that I'm about 90% sure a 2-cost 1/1 would not be played in Agroo paladin, no matter how sticky it is.)

Like I said, the initial effects are all variations on the same thing, so we can just quickly go through each individual one.

Fearless is considered the worst of the three since all he can do it get himself and give a slight damge buff, but I have a soft-spot for the Scareclaw archetype. (If it wasn't clear by the art, the idea here is that each of these are mini-globes that contain funky, chibi-fied, opposite versions of the Guys that Visas has faced so far.) So while it's not the most interesting, the fact that he's the only one that can technically loop himself infinitely I think is interesting. Plus it works with his name of "Fearless" that he won't ever properly leave :)

Meek is considered the best by a considerable margin from what I can tell, and specifcally its mostly because of the level adjustment that the card can do when it pulls another one. I did truly consider maybe trying something fun where you could increase the cost of a card that was already on the field, but I couldn't quite figure out how I'd get that to synergise with the other cards in the faction, so I made it just mana-cheat as an alternative since bizarrely enough in Yu-Gi-Oh, if an effect like that was possible, it would technically still synergies with synchro's the same way. (Context for those that don't know what I'm talking about; without getting into too much detail, "Synchros" are a type of monster in Yugioh that care very, \*very\* much about the Levels of Monsters.) That said it is still an interesting concept to me, maybe later I'll come across a different YGO archetype that I could translate to use that specific mechanic.

Finally Torrid is interesting, since technically speaking it can search anything, not just itself. Unfortunatly that's not really anything special since that's how all three of these cards work on account of only being able to run 2 of them in a HS deck. So instead, I just decided to make this one the most "value" option by having him technically get 2 cards. Not quite sure what my logic as admittedly, but it felt appropriate at the time.

Day 272: I think I've figured how this faction plays.
