Frame drops
I got a new pc recently. It’s smooth and most things run well, but in some games (even with low requirements and low settings) I get consistent stuttering and frame drops.
I have a ryzen 5 5600 and a rtx 3050 8gb (I know this isn’t the best choice, but I got a prebuilt because of ram prices and this is my second pc. Before this I had a gtx 1050 2gb, so it’s a pretty big step up from that) I also have 16gb of ram and SSD.
I checked task manager during the frame drops and there’s dramatic spikes or drops and it all seems to be okay.
I was just wondering what could cause this or help this? It’s not necessarily a big deal, it’s just kind of annoying to go from 300 fps to 0 for seemingly no reason.
My ram is running and the speed it should and my drivers are up to date. I was considering resetting my pc to remove any possible bloatware that might be taking up a lot of space, but I don’t know if that would actually help.
Any advice would be appreciated!! Thank you 🌷
