Should i buy or mod.

Couples of years ago i bought a squire paranormal 54 bass, found that the tone controls didn't make much of a difference and were of poor quality. So i changes them, changes the caps also.... then put some Seymore Duncan quarter pounders, then put a high mass bridge.

So now it sounds pretty nice. My dilema now is, should i go ahead and buy a new neck and tuners? I dont really like the gloss finish on mine and maybe the frets are meh. I have a Stratocaster with a roasted maple natin finis neck and really like the look and feel.

So price wise, new neck and tuners, would amount close to the price of a new base like a Sire V5 ou P5.

So i would like your opinions as it is well know this sub is full of wise base players.
