How to "go to a doctor" as an adult

Ok I know this sounds ridiculous.
Im 22 and just aged out of my PCP a few months ago (who treats people from infant to college-age).
I was told to go to the doctor(not er) to get something evaluated...but I dont know what that means for me? do I directly book a specialist? do I go to urgent care? my school's student medical center? im scared of doing the wrong one and looking stupid and wasting a ton of money
I also cant rlly just get a PCP bc im not sure how long I'll be in this area.
