So I want to build a world,

but its in the form of 'collages'.

but I'm not sure how this really works or whether my idea of 'world building' fits into this sub or whether I'm at the wrong place,

I'm sorry this is a little long I just need some clarification!

I am starting off with a simple cartoon-like universe that's sort of like how those 'countryballs' videos are on youtube if anyone has seen them.

There is a cartographer map too that I've created

and they have their own systems and stuff,

so it's a planet entirely hence a 'world'.

It's a world based on surreal scenes entirely.

**(the image I've attached is an example of what I mean by surrealism.)**

The image attached are one of the things I've come up with and that's basically the character I am using.

It's a light hearted way of self expression to me.

**But, This is where I am confused.**

**The background image is from pinterest and it's been posted from like 4 different accounts so I'm not sure of the origin.**

**The objects were cut out from pinterest too.**

**My 'world' is basically a collage and I am afraid it doesn't qualify as creative work because of it.**

I basically cut things out and create scenarios as a way of Self expressionbut does it qualify as 'world building'?

**Is it unethical to use pinterest images for everything?**

**I don't want to use AI and it's just difficult generating everything on your own too...**

**I'm not sure how to go about this.**

New to this: need some clarification on beginning!
