How sports betting ruined my life
I'm 21 years old and I started gambling for a year now .Prize picks/ Underdog and it has completely ruined my life. I only do sports betting and its never consistent. I keep telling my self i can get $500 back or $1k back, then stop completely, but it only got worst. I'm completely broke and have maxed out my credit cards chasing wins. There would be days where i would lose 1.2k in one day and then i would continue to chase. I stopped for about a month, getting a job and trying to catch up with my losses. A few months down the line i had lost my job and started to relapse. I started doing $50 bets and started winning for a few days until everything went downhill. I lost $200 and tried to chase the losses back putting me down $600. I tried listening to professional sports bettors and doing straight bets but that was a flop. When i lost a few straight bets i started going back into parlays which ruined me. I was 0.5 away from winning 4k and 1 leg crashed everything. I was depressed for a whole week and didn't feel like doing anything. I would skip meals and not go outside. My Mom is connected to my bank account and she lost all trust in me. I feel guilty because i told her i would stop but i kept going. Everyone gambler thinks they will make there money back but that's just simply impossible, Betting in general is just rigged. I'm trying to find new hobbies such as going to the gym and playing chess on my free time. I learned that the books never lose and if i continue to bet, my life would be at a all time low. I could've had 9k saved up if it was never for sports gambling.
