Need help setting up snapshots with limine
I initially installed CachyOS with rEFInd, and am now trying to switch to limine as I read it’s easier to integrate snapper snapshots onto the boot menu.
I believe I installed all the necessary packages. Limine works and boots into Cachy correctly. But whenever I make a snapshot I get this error notification from limine-snapper-notify
Your OS entry has no kernel in /boot/limine.conf. Please add at least a kernel entry '//
and there are no snapshots in the limine boot menu.
I have gone back and forth with ChatGPT for two hours now over the syntax of my limine.conf, and it is stuck in a loop of minor syntax edits and saying “This is the root issue, we found it now” lol. I’m done using AI to fix small bugs….
Here is my limine.conf, does everything look good here? What else could cause the issue?
TIMEOUT: 5
//CachyOS protocol: linux kernel_path: boot():/vmlinuz-linux-cachyos kernel_cmdline: root=UUID=e9b89462-a67e-42d8-a903-d27f8abe95d0 rootflags=subvol=@ rw module_path: boot():/amd-ucode.img module_path: boot():/initramfs-linux-cachyos.img
Limine has no issue parsing that and boots perfectly, but limine-snapper-sync throws the listed error
