Question about a few things I’ve read here.
Hi!
Broke my ankle (trimalleolar fracture) on 2/14, surgery on 2/16. Went from splint pre surgery to boot post surgery.
I keep seeing partial weight bearing. What does partial weight bearing mean? Like an example.
Was a knee scooter helpful or more of a hindrance? Right now I’m on crutches and I’m hitting the wall on my endurance by dinner time just by crutching to and from the bathroom (doesn’t help I’m carrying an extra 50lbs). Do you build up endurance and strength the longer you use them?
Were the PT exercises difficult? I’m assuming they’ll give me homework, but I’ve never broken anything or required PT before and I’m curious.
I know I need to call my surgeons office to ask about a few other things, but these seemed more like asking other experiences than real medical questions. Thank you for any clarity y’all can provide. Also I’m learning so much by lurking posts.
