A different kind of national grid complaint

I am signed up for autopay for national grid.

Every month they email me being like "your bill isn't paid!!! Pay your bill!!" With no indication anywhere that I'm signed up for autopay.

So every month, just to be sure, I go on my account and double check.

This time, I went thru the settings to see if there was a way to have the autopay go through earlier, to avoid these emails, (there is not) and it decided to send me an email telling me that I had UNENROLLED from auto pay. I did not unenroll. I'm still signed up for autopay. But now I am worried about it and I'm gonna have to double check again multiple times.

How hard is it for the email to say "your bill is due and will be debited on this date"? Spectrum manages to do that just fine!
