What's with the C2's and 890J's I keep finding?

While going out to find salvage panels, I keep coming across C2's and 890J's that look like they would have either been from a mission or abandoned by a player, but they're odd in several ways. For one, they're missing like all of their components except the power plant, which doesn't even register on my repair tool. Second, all elevators/hangar doors are completely missing, and at the C2's have had the exact same number of fuses and RMC canisters in them every time. What exactly are these?
