Writing comments on Instagram is such a chore, is this the same for everybody?

The two main issues I have is that the whole comment all appears on a single line nowadays, so while writing you have to scroll back and forth through your comment to check for mistakes.

And that does suck, but what makes it 10 times worse is that the cursor gets stuck for a few seconds when you move it to the edge of the textbox, and then it catches up with itself after 3-5 seconds and zooms right to the end.

Is this the same for everybody? (I know you can use the spacebar to navigate, but it moves really slowly.)

I'm using an S24 Ultra, so I very much doubt it's a performance issue.

And the other thing that sucks is you can't edit comments, so if you make a mistake you have to either leave it or delete it and write the whole comment again..

Why is it that a company so huge as Instagram has such a terrible UI for writing comments? It used to be great, but it seems like they intentionally made it worse.
