Hello fellow Helldivers. I wanted to express my opinion that it is too easy to rage quit mid-game since there are zero consequences. It becomes quite frustrating, especially if the person who does so has just wasted all the reinforcements and does not even have the dignity to stay until the end of the mission, even if it fails.

Now, I'm not saying, “EH! PEOPLE RAGE QUIT ON DIFFICULT MISSIONS AND I'M A PRO BECAUSE I KEEP FIGHTING GNEGNEGNE!” Because I'm the first to admit that unfortunately I do rage quit sometimes, but I always try to keep that as a last resort, since I know it would hurt the team because of me and is a dick move also.

I'm writing this post right after one of the many games where exactly what I described above happened:
\-Aurora Bay, difficulty 10. We go down to intercept a convoy factory strider, and in less than 5 minutes it's chaos. We are surrounded and keep dying. I try to find cover and use the recoilless to kill the strider. The randoms around me keep rushing and dying uselessly until we get less 5 reinforcements. In the end, we are surrounded on all sides and the convoy fleeds. The randoms ragequit, I think because they thought the mission was already failed, and i am left alone against the whole automatons army. Fortunately, other randoms join in, and although we failed to intercept the convoy, we still completed the mission.

Now, this raises my dilemma: Helldivers is not R6 or League of Legends. It cannot be considered a competitive game at the level to make a penalty system. It's simply a fun shooter where you can let off steam and not think too much. But I find it very dishonorable and despicable to quit after you've used up all your reinforcements, as if the efforts of the team that wants to continue fighting were a joke. So, in my opinion, I would like seeing justice done to this kind of helldivers.
