There have been some misunderstandings about the FRlG re-release

Discussion

As it has been erroneously claimed that the game is $30 USD each when it's actually $20 USD each, that you have to buy both versions to be able to play them when in reality it is enough to buy just one version, that you need an NSO subscription to play them in addition to paying for the game when in reality it is independent of the NSO, and that they would have cut features like Sevii Islands, events, and Game Corner from the game when in reality it is unbelievable that they have done so. I hope this post helps combat the misinformation currently circulating. And for more information about FRLG, you should check out their site before you start spreading what you heard from Tiktok.

But it's true that the game requires local trading and it doesn't have the same multiplayer features as ScaVi and PLZA because they're not remakes of remakes but a port of original games, that they looks like a 2004 game in terms of graphics, gameplay and sprites because they are a 2004 game, and also that their Home connection is currently uncertain because they removed the mention from the shop. But just because they are 22 years old doesn't mean they are shitty and bad or crappy games as some people claimed they were during the recent backlash, and that's why I also wish that people would stop mocking them just because of their age, even though FRLG weren't perfect games but still a noticeable improvement when compared to the original Red and Blue.

And if someone doesn't want to play them or already own them, no one is forced or compelled to buy them against their will. But there are also those who haven't had the chance to play FRLG on GBA, 3DS or WiiU and this Switch release is their chance to play those games after a long wait because the games have not been available for a long time and the re-sale prices for used game cartridges have risen to $150-$200 USD.
