built a free planner for brains that hate planners

Discussion 💭

okay so this might be a weird thing to post but I've been working on something for months and I think some of you might actually get it

I'm neurodivergent and I love the idea of journaling and keeping a planner, but I could never stick with any . digital, paper, apps, bullet journals... none of it worked. too much visual noise, too many steps, too much pressure built into the design.

so I just... built my own.

it's called the Neurospicy Workbook. it's free, runs in your browser, nothing to install.

the main thing I wanted was zero guilt baked in. no streaks. no "you missed 3 days" notifications. just a habit tracker that shows your week and lets you notice patterns without making you feel bad about them.

it also has mood journaling with prompts, a to-do list where you can change priorities whenever your brain changes its mind (which mine does constantly), printable journal pages with hand-drawn illustrations, and a scheduler with a history tab so you can see what you actually did vs. what you planned.

the vibe is dark UI, cozy, a little edgy. no toxic positivity. no crush your goals energy. just something that meets you where you are.

habit tracker with color coded grid and streaks

to do list with optional priorities

scheduler with calendar sync, customizable categories, and (optional) reminders

journal with mood tracking, prompts, and an \"end my day\" function that generates a printable page

printable journal page with doodles, washi tape elements, and habit grid for the day (you pick what prints), also has font selector and size choices

tips for your neurodivergent needs/interests, favoriting adds to your collection and your journal page for the day

I'm still actively building it and would genuinely love to know what features would actually help your brain

what does your current planner fail at? 👀
