Sore throat?

For the last month I've had on and off dry/sore throat bringing up more phelgm especially after meals and in the morning after waking up.

Last year the doctor put me on omeprazole however I didn't carry on as I felt worse long story short the doctor then lut me on anxiety medication

However I have a feeling all along its GERD that has been causing all my health issues

I dont have the traditional burning in my throat however last night I was woken my doing a burp that was very acidic , I also burped today and it felt like food was going to come up...

I think I might have silent reflux

Anyway I'm very down by this. Is it really this debilitating?

I have a doctors appointment in 2 weeks in the mean time I have started taking gaviscon advance to try and help
