Like playing twister with your fingers

I know it's all practice and such, but as a noob, some of these chords are like playing Twister with my fingers. B minor is like...how? I can get there, but it's nearly impossible for my ring finger to avoid hitting one of the other strings on the way. Anyone have tips for I don't know dislocating my fingers or something so I can reach impossible chords? I'm a lefty - is that making things harder? should I force myself to learn right-handed? I have large hands, and I'm hypermobile, so this should be easy, but some of these are just...I can't make my hand do that.
