Leaving travelling

Seeking Advice

I’ve been travelling doing LTC and skilled nursing facilities. I have no background in Hospital) but I did a lot of clinical in hospital no nursing home or long-term care. I like to work in the hospital to kind of get better experience for hospital traveling contracts and I was thinking about starting in the ER because the first skilled nursing facility I worked at one of the nurses has been a nurse for 44 years as an LPN in 18 of that was in the ER, I believe that was his first job and he was really good at his job when he trained me is the ER a great place to start or cause I know people say to start in a MedSurg my very first job was a MedSurg, but I only lasted two months. I didn’t like it and I just went by left. That was my preceptorship after I passed my license when I did my skilled nursing facility we were able to do IVs and ng insertions, foley insertions. Very few TPN we never had telemetry. We never had dripped stuff because we were a skilled nursing facility so after about a year and a half of experience, I went to do El tech what did they say? It was not really good enough for me experience wise so now I thought about starting in an ER I’ve heard a lot ER nurses say will teach you over the states that I’ve worked at. Is that true or do I really need MedSurg experience? Also, I had noticed a lot of long-term care contracts for Alaska require a lot of hospital critical care requirements which makes no sense to me. I don’t see why you need pals for adults who are stable or TNCC in an environment that’s not critical.
