Hi everyone — I’m honestly shaking while writing this.

I’m 34 and my partner and I have been trying to conceive for about a year with no success so far. I have never — not once — seen even the faintest second line before… until today.

This morning I took a test and I think I see a very faint line. It’s the first time in a whole year of trying that I’ve ever seen anything other than stark white, so I don’t know if I’m imagining it or if this could actually be positive.

At the same time, I’ve started having brown spotting mixed with mucus, which is really confusing me. It’s not red or heavy — more brown/light — and I usually see something similar right before my period, so now I’m spiraling wondering if this is implantation bleeding or just my period starting.

To make things even more complicated, I have laparoscopic surgery scheduled next month to check for endometriosis after a year of unexplained infertility. So I’m extremely confused about what’s happening and honestly very stressed emotionally.

Has anyone had:
