I’d like to know how many vegans consider basic protein guidelines to be pertinent or whether protein requirements are exaggerated and unnecessary
An 80 year-old friend of mine eats an incredibly low amount of protein I determined because in addition to being a vegan, he doesn’t seem to eat much grains, beans, nuts, or seeds and in his case, I’m thinking he’s probably lucky if he’s even getting a third of the minimum recommended amount for 150 pound individual which I believe would be something around 70 g
However, it also occurred to me that in vegan philosophy, meeting, institutional determined protein quantities, may not be considered significant or valuable in the pursuit for veganism
so I’m generally and genuinely curious what people’s opinions are on this subject thank you for your time
