How would the story go if V never altered the Sire's dream?

So we know Wilhelm made a deal with V to get him out of the colosseum and that deal gave the Sire a dream that bailing out Harrow and Khaleesi would destroy the world, and that bailing out Wilhelm and Khaleesi would save it. Do you think that's true or just something Wilhelm's monster made up? Also, what would happen if Wilhelm never made the deal? How would the storyline go?
