Bouts of lightheadedness
I've been having an issue with lightheadedness off and on for a while. The other day was the worst ... even got a little shaky and my BP rose a bit.
This won't happen every day, but the triggers seem inconsistent. Which makes me think it could be something with hormone fluctuations. Especially since I've checked my blood sugar and blood pressure when these episodes happen and the readings have been normal (other than the slightly elevated BP mentioned above).
It has come on when I get up too fast (especially if I've been sitting cross legged), if I haven't eaten in a while, after exercise (even a light treadmill walk), or sometimes for seemingly no reason.
I do have some neuropathy symptoms in my feet and Raynaud's in my hands (going to the dr next week) and wonder if it may have something to do with that. My feet are pretty much achy in one way or another all the time, but they are not always worse when I have the lightheadedness.
My diet is fairly balanced, but I've read that perimenopause can lead to absorption issues and nutritional deficiencies. I'll be talking to my doctor about this too.
So, anyone else dealing with similar issues?
