Unpopular opinion: I love fighting chaos, but hate chaos maps
The massive amounts of chaos spawn? Give em to me. I love fighting those meatballs. Do they suck to shoot because they barely have heads? Yeah, but that’s ok they literally bring themselves to you to melee anyways. I fight them with my block chainsword. Did it take time to learn their attack patterns? Yeah. Do I only play classes that have decent kickback protection (bulwark, tac, vanguard, and assault)? Yeah. But still. Helbrutes, sorcerers, rubrics, meatballs, I love em all. Triple soulreaper terminators, maybe not so much.
**HOWEVER**, I hate almost every chaos map’s design. They all seem to include some element that’s tedious just to be tedious. If not more than one.
Obelisk: a massive section where one player moves slower and can’t parry
Reliquary: perhaps the most stupid map event of all time with the servo skull casket search
Fall of Atreus: not bad, but long. And some sections where you can get the Helbrute are brutal if you also get a soulreaper terminator at the same time.
Vortex: the vortex beast is borderline unfun to fight.
I don’t want them to tweak anything about chaos enemies except for maybe not allow more than two soulreapers to spawn at a time on absolute+
I can’t wait for the next update where I can customize my stratagem modifiers so I can fight chaos enemies on all the tyranid maps.
