ROG CETRA's Bluetooth issue

Whenever I put my earbuds back in the case, they stay connected to my phone, sometimes for an hour! It's annoying me a lot and I originally thought it was because the earbuds weren't in the charging ports fully. But even if the case is closed, and the earbuds are in their ports, it still connects! What should I do? Should I reset them?
