Samsung Refrigerator - how to get dried blood out from under glass shelves, etc
I have a 4 door Samsung Refrigerator that is somewhat old (don't remember exactly how old it is) but I like it... it is the model that has the ice cube maker on the outside of the door.
My husband has been in and out of the hospital for the last 2 years. (My house looks like a disaster, but let's not talk about that.)
In the last 2 years, I would get frozen meat or a small frozen turkey out of the freezer and put it in the refrigerator to thaw. Then he would end up in the hospital, and I ended up with dried blood dripping all over the inside of the refrigerator. I didn't take pictures because it looked like a war zone... so you can guess how bad it got.
He's back from skilled nursing, so now he's home. I am celebrating his return by cleaning the refrigerator, BUT the refrigerator has dried blood in places that I can't figure out how to get to... There are glass shelves, for example, that have blood that has dried on the top, and then somehow got in the cracks between the glass shelf and the metal shelf. I have cleaned the shelf to the best of my ability, but to REALLY clean it, like I would REALLY LIKE TO CLEAN IT, would require somehow taking the glass out of the shelf. I'm not seeing any possible way to do this. I'm afraid if I just TRY, without knowing what I'm doing, I will break the glass or break the shelf.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I would love to just soak the shelves in something larger than the shelves, but even the largest side of my kitchen sink is about 1" too small to soak the shelf... I have a walk in shower, so no way to plug the bottom, so it wouldn't "soak"... the shelf would just lay on the shower floor.
I'm out of ideas.
Then there's the oven... and a question about the stove, but I will address the stove in a separate post, after I hear that there is no "fix" for this refrigerator.
Thank you for listening to my mess.
