Cumridge Automatic Self Clean Cat box discussion

I could not find a thread for this topic so I wanted to start one. I just bought one of these. I have had cats for over 50 years & this might be the best thing I have ever invested in.

For years, with 2-3 cats, I have been able to clean the 3 clumping litter boxes once a week with little or no issues but with a recent adoption of 2 semi feral kittens from the human society, the litter gets drenched in that time & the boxes end up with litter that is broken up & saturated & not clumping. They are playing with the clumps & breaking them up. I even added another box & it still would not work.

So, I nearly ordered a Litter Robot $$$$ but then found this at the last minute & so far both of my 6 month old kittens are using it almost exclusively & I am super happy with how it works. The weight feature isn't correct as it is claiming my cats are over 10lbs but that is pretty minor. I do kind of wish the app would allow me to see how often each cat was using it by tracking the 10.2lb cat or the 12.2lb cat but it only shows the most recent cat visiting. One of my kittens has a lot of pre-adoption trauma & she lived under our bed for the first 3 months & is chonky, I am specifically concerned about tracking her health/litter habits as whenever we have to catch her to take her to the vet, it sets her anxiety back a bit.

I would love to hear others experiences with this box. I am already considering buying another, I would love to replace my other standard boxes. I also am curious if anyone uses a stool for the entrance, it is really high above the ground.
