Is this ERP framework finally the Odoo--and SAP, Oracle, etc--killer? (I'm not promoting or involved with them)

Anyone seen or heard of "Open Mercato"? I have no relationship with this product (looks like the developers are out of Poland, I'm US-based) but I saw it mentioned in a related ERP subreddit. I checked out their Github site, and it's an AI-developed and AI-integrated ERP framework, just a few months old.

The most interesting part: it's almost all licensed, for now, under MIT, so people can do just about anything they want with it. There's discussion of enterprise modules (I guess they need to make money somehow), but I don't know if, like Odoo, they'll put any crucial modules like accounting behind a paywall. If they don't, that would be a big differentiator between their product and Odoo & most other ERPs.

Obviously there's a lot more to creating and deploying a full ERP than just a framework. But It's got a modern stack and the developers seem to know what they're doing, I'm sure with a lot of help from Claude/Codex. And their roadmap looks ambitious, like plans for a full financial module, POS, etc. After all, Odoo started as TinyERP.

With enough community support and if they can get agencies interested in developing deep modules for high-demand domain verticals, what do you think? A generic open-source, AI-first ERP framework, with the mostly permissive license available - is this framework (or maybe a future clone) finally the big ERP killer?

Yeah, it took Odoo a decade or so to finally take off, but it's a different world out there now.
