Moza r12 v2 + ks pro vs simagic alpha evo sport + gt neo

 Question

Hey everyone,

After dealing with hardware issues on my Moza R5, I’ve decided that I really enjoy sim racing and want to properly upgrade instead of just buying another R5. Because of the problems I’ve had, I’d rather move up to something more solid and long-term.

Right now the setup will stay on a desk (PC), but in the future I plan to move to a proper sim rig. So I’m trying to think a bit long-term as well.

I’m currently choosing between:

Option 1: Simagic Alpha Evo Sport (9Nm) + GT Neo wheel

Option 2: Moza R12 V2 + KS Pro wheel

On paper, the Moza R12 V2 looks better because of the higher torque (12Nm vs 9Nm). But I keep reading that Simagic bases feel more refined and detailed, especially in terms of force feedback quality.

What’s also important: I’m looking for the simplest solution possible right now. I’m not very experienced with wheel software tuning, filters, advanced settings, etc. I’d prefer something that works great with minimal tweaking, especially for iRacing.

Since I only drive iRacing, I care more about clean, detailed, and consistent feedback rather than just raw strength. Still, I don’t want to regret not having the extra 3Nm of headroom from the R12.

For those who have experience with these:

•	Is Simagic really more refined in iRacing?

•	Does the extra 3Nm from the R12 make a noticeable difference?

•	Which one is more plug-and-play and easier to live with?

•	How do they compare in reliability and build quality?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions. Thanks a lot!
