Is a Degree really necessary for a successful career ?

Serious replies only

I’m currently working as an Accounts Assistant at a private company, and I joined last year right after finishing my A/Ls. I’ve been gaining practical experience and learning a lot and honestly I enjoy working more than studying. The thing is, I don’t really feel like doing a degree right now....I’d rather continue working and build my skills as much as I can while I’m young.
But at the same time, I keep thinking about what having a degree could mean when it comes to better opportunities, promotions, or even going abroad. I still haven’t fully figured things out. What I really want is to build a strong career that gives me financial freedom, not just stability. So I wanted to ask....would you prefer experience and skills over formal education ?
In the long run, what matters more ? Would love to hear your honest thoughts.
