I'm back after a three day ban for saying white supremacists are bad.
So what happened?
Someone made a post on a r / explainitpeter, an explainthejoke type subreddit asking about what happened in northern Idaho that it should be avoided, so I linked the wikipedia page to the Ruby Ridge Massacre. I then added some of my own thoughts about what happened, including that Randy Weaver was a white supremacist piece of shit, but he still deserved due process. Someone then commented "people deserve due process even if you disagree with their politics," to which I responded "being a white supremacist isn't a political difference, it's a failure of basic human decency." One of the mods then got offended by that comment (I assume because he's a white supremacist, there's no other reason to) and banned me. When I protested, he reported me to Reddit for harassment and I got a ban, which took all week to get appealed.
I still stand by that statement, so I'm gonna say it again. If Reddit bans me for it again, they're officially a white supremacist website and I don't belong here anyways.
Being a white supremacist isn't a political difference, it's a failure of basic human decency.
Anyways, I'm gonna try to use this account just for writing stuff from now on. Probably scaling back how much I use Reddit in general and only using it for writing stuff. This is ridiculous. If you want places where I engage more, I'm also on Bluesky and Mastodon.
Fuck white supremacists, fuck that white supremacist mod in particular.
