Advice for a noob?

Posting this again as its own post cuz someone said crossposts can be wonky.

I’m building a character for a pbp game, and being fairly new to the game, I’m hoping to get a bit of advice. I’m trying to figure out what classes would best fit the vibe I’m going for. I want to play a gnome caster. I’d like to be able to do some crowd control but I also want to fuck around with illusion and enchantment magic. Basically a prankster type character who enjoys fucking with enemies.

It’s gestalt options, and originally I was planning on doing a seducer witch/oracle combo. But after doing some research, the witch class doesn’t seem to fit the way I wanted it to. I still really like the idea of the oracle, but I’m also open to hearing other ideas. Also, as much as I enjoy charisma casters, the idea of psychic casting is really interesting to me too. If anyone has any ideas for me, I appreciate the help
