My friend says he regrets being baptized and thinks Christianity is a cult

I don’t want this to turn into a political argument. I’m asking from a Christian perspective.

My friend is open about being far left politically and his family thinks the same. It's practically where his beliefs come from. His family even said they are sorry they had him baptized because they now see it as wrong.

He has said things like Catholicism is a cult and openly mocks Christianity, even though he knows I’m Catholic. I took offense to this but I don’t think he realizes it.

Nobody brings this up when we’re together, but it feels weird to me acting normal knowing we see things so differently. What should I do in this situation?
