Are people really this down that they even mock someone's death?

Death for me is a very sensitive topic. It doesn't matter if I know them or not but I came across two incidents in my life

Where some middle man hanged himself on a tree during night as per report and while going to school I saw his body hanging a crowd where they were just standing like they don't even care to bring it down and fewwof them were literally laughing and mockinghon his dead body, are they really I'll?

2nd Incident took place recently where a lady jumped from the bridge,Iw literally saw her walking near the NH while going to my exam centre and that day afternoon a local news covered that she was commeting scuicide after that I heard someone people near a tea shop discussing this topic and literally made jokes and laughed in the whole conversation.

I don't know what kind of humans we have become.
