Hey builders,

I just shipped my Android app, Proofly, and I’d genuinely love feedback from people who build products themselves.

The idea came from a very specific problem:

I would check off a task…
And later still wonder if I actually did it.

Especially small recurring things like:
• Taking meds
• Locking the door
• Turning off the stove

So I built Proofly around one core principle: certainty.

Instead of a quick checkbox tap, you confirm tasks with a short intentional hold. The app logs the exact completion time.

Recently I added photo proof logging too. So for “Did I lock the door?” you can actually see the door locked with a timestamp.

It’s intentionally minimalist. No streaks. No gamification. No productivity noise.

I’m trying to figure out:

• Is the problem real enough?
• Is the interaction strong enough to change behavior?
• Is this niche too small or more common than I think?
• What would make this something you rely on daily?

If you’re open to testing and giving blunt feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I care more about honest criticism than praise.

thank you in advance

I built a reminder app because I didn’t trust checkboxes
