Hi everyone! I’m the developer of **PicShift**. Like many of you, I hated the idea of uploading sensitive tax docs or contracts to some random server just to sign them. So, I built a private-first alternative.

It runs entirely in your browser using **WebAssembly (WASM)**. Your files never touch any server—100% local processing. 🛡️

**I’ve packed it with all the essentials (and then some):**

* **🔍 Local OCR:** Convert scanned images/PDFs to searchable text directly in the browser (no data leak).
* **🖋️ Pro Signing:** Create, save, and place signatures with custom sizing and positioning.
* **⬜ Smart Whiteout/Redaction:** Permanently hide sensitive information before sharing.
* **📝 Rich Annotations:** Add text, shapes, and freehand drawings with full control.
* **🔄 Advanced Page Management:** Merge multiple files, split pages, rotate, or reorder with a simple drag-and-drop.
* **🖼️ Image Conversion:** Convert images to PDF and vice versa, all locally.
* **💧 Watermarking:** Protect your documents with custom text/image overlays.

**The best part?** \* No Registration.

* No Subscriptions.
* No "Cloud" involved.

I built this using a modern stack focused on performance. I’d love to get some feedback from this community on the **WASM implementation** or any **UI/UX improvements** you'd suggest!

I was tired of uploading my private PDFs to random servers, so I built a 100% Client-side Editor (WASM).
